THANKS FOR HELPING CTN CELEBRATE 35 YEARS OF ANN ARBOR ON TV!
Hundreds Attend CTN Open House
In 1973 "The Waltons" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" swept the Emmys, the last "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" aired on NBC, and gas was 40 cents a gallon. That also was the year that a group of community activitists launched community access television in Ann Arbor.

THEN - CTN's first home at 403 S. Fifth Ave. in 1973.
In 1973 our organization was one of the first five access centers in the country. Today there are more than 2,000 centers across the nation providing public, educational, and government access to their communities. You'll get a great historical perspective on CTN by visiting our "History" section (see the links on the left of this page.) In addition, CTN is a member of the Alliance for Community Media. Visit the ACM website at www.ourchannels.org and you can find out about important issues pertaining to community media, as well as link to other access centers.

ACT NOW!
The 2% fee of gross cable revenues designated for Public Access Television is in danger of being lost. The Michigan Legislature intended for municipalities to receive these funds to operate an important community resource. Some cable companies are not paying the PEG (Public, Educational, Government) access fee. HB 5047 & SB 636 will preserve these funds.
