Project Overview
The City of Ann Arbor 2008 Street Resurfacing Project involves the resurfacing of approximately 22 local streets located throughout the City. The project includes the milling and replacement of the asphalt surface, and the repair and replacement of some existing curbs and sidewalk ramps. Local residences and businesses on the streets where construction will occur will receive letters with further details several weeks prior to the beginning of construction in their area.
Anticipated Schedule
The local street resurfacing portion of the project will be undertaken in five groupings of streets, divided up geographically across the City. The preliminary construction schedules for these groups, and the streets included in each group, are as follows:

* No work permitted on Michigan home football game days.
** No work permitted Wednesday, July 16 through Sunday, July 20, 2008, due to the Ann Arbor Street Art Fairs. The Contractor shall restore, open, and maintain normal, through traffic on this/these street(s) during these dates.
Traffic Impact
Because most of the local street resurfacing portion of the project will occur on residential streets, the impact to traffic is expected to be minimal. Access to all businesses and residences will be maintained during construction.
Funding
The 2008 Street Resurfacing Project is funded primarily by the 2007-2011 Street Resurfacing Millage approved by voters in 2006.
