 Source Water Protection

The protection of water in the environment is important for the production of safe drinking water. The sources of Ann Arbor’s Drinking Water are the River and groundwater.

The "Wellhead Protection Plan" for our groundwater supply is available for review at the Water Treatment Plant. This document details the well, its recharge zone and potential impacts on its water quality.
