Ann Arbor Police Department Investigating Hate Graffiti at City Park

Archived News Release: August 18, 2017 - ​At approximately 8:00 a.m. on 08/18/2017, Ann Arbor Police Department officers responded to the skate park located within Veterans Memorial Park for a reported graffiti incident. The responding officers' located spray-painted graffiti that contained racial slurs and swastikas in and around the skate park area.

The Ann Arbor Police Detective Bureau is actively investigating this incident.

As a result of this incident, there will be an increase in police patrols in and around the city parks.

The Ann Arbor Police Department is asking for the public's assistance to report any suspicious behavior or activity in and around city parks.

A $500 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this crime.
