Internships

​The Ann Arbor City Attorney's Office offers an exciting and engaging summer internship for interested law students.

Interns get an opportunity to develop legal research and writing skills through practical application. Interns are exposed to a wide variety of practice areas, including Constitutional law, governmental immunity, litigation, criminal prosecution, labor and employment law, transactional work, open meetings, FOIA issues, etc. Interns often get the opportunity to work on briefs and motions, provide prosecution support, prepare research memos, assist in drafting ordinances or policies, and work on other interesting and often novel legal issues. ​​
