The City of Ann Arbor purchasing services office is committed to supporting the efficient acquisition of goods and services for the city by negotiating, administering and establishing contracts for a wide variety of equipment and service providers. Purchasing services provides procurement support for all areas of city government.
While the City of Ann Arbor has no official local-preference policy, when aspects of bids and/or proposals are equal or nearly equal, preference may be given to a local vendor.
City of Ann Arbor purchasing services is a member of Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN),
National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and Michigan Public Purchasing Officers Association (MPPOA).

Search, bid and buy government surplus property auction items on the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) BidNet Surplus Auctions Website and GovDeals.
Bid Notification System
City Purchasing posts all formal solicitations on the MITN (Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network) service, a statewide formal solicitation notification system created exclusively for public entities in Michigan (Bid-Net). There is no need to register with the city purchasing office to be eligible to bid. However, please register in the MITN system. This service is free if you wish to check periodically for opportunities, not only for the City of Ann Arbor, but for many Michigan governmental entities. If you wish to be notified automatically, there is a minimal annual fee.
Parking
Meter parking is available on Fifth Avenue and on East Ann Street. Entrance to Larcom City Hall can be accessed either on the Huron Street or Ann Street side.
