February 21, 2025 update
The city's contractor has been diligently working on completing sewer installation between Westwood Avenue and Doty Avenue and is now prepared to make the final connections on both roads.
Starting the week of Feb. 24, 2025, excavations within Doty Avenue will be performed and the road will be temporarily restored for traffic. Immediately following the reopening of Doty Avenue, Westwood Avenue will be closed to local traffic, and this shift is currently scheduled to occur on Feb. 26, 2025.
It is the project team’s goal to maintain neighborhood access through either Doty Avenue or Westwood Avenue at any given time. Due to the intricate work on making final sewer connections on both streets, the sequencing of these closures may shift back and forth over the coming weeks.
During March and April, construction activity to the west of Doty Avenue is anticipated to continue, including open cut construction and trenchless sewer installation in the rear yard areas north of Dexter Avenue.
In April and May, construction is anticipated along Dexter Avenue near Lyn Anne Court and the Maple Ridge Apartments with a corresponding closure of westbound traffic on Dexter Avenue. Information regarding the timing of this closure will be provided in advance. Construction is currently anticipated to be complete by late May, 2025.
For information on road closures for this and other projects this construction season, please the road/lane closure page.
