Huron River Day returns to a new location at Riverside Park in 2026!

Mark your calendar for Huron River Day (HRD) on Saturday, May 16, noon-4 p.m. at Riverside Park (1000 Canal Street). This free, family-friendly event is a celebration of the Huron River and all the conservation efforts made by partnering organizations and the surrounding community!

This year, Huron River Day will feature several interactive sessions the morning of the event where community members can participate in workshops, guided walks, clean ups, crafts and other opportunities to learn more about the Huron. Participants in these sessions will be given a Huron Hero Card to redeem for prizes later at the festival.

In the afternoon you can look forward to a festival atmosphere with hands-on activities and games, live animals from Leslie Science & Nature Center, a kids area with inflatables and face painting, live music, local eco-friendly exhibitor tables and more!
