Share Input for Fuller Park Playground Replacement Project

City of Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation wants to know: What features make for a great playground? Community members are invited to share their opinions and ideas as the city plans to replace Fuller Park Mixer Playground. The community survey — and a link to a kid-friendly version — can be found at engage.a2gov.org/fuller-park-playground through Monday, March 31, 2025.

Replacing the timber-structure playground, built in 1989, was identified as a need in the 2023–2027 Parks and Recreation Open Space Plan. The project will be funded through a gift of $125,000 from the University of Michigan and supplemented by the Ann Arbor Park Maintenance and Capital Improvement Millage, which residents voted in 2024 to renew for another 20 years.

"This is a popular playground among day campers and many other kids and families in our community, especially during Fuller Park's summer pool season," said Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation Manager Josh Landefeld.

After the survey closes, feedback will be incorporated into two to three concept playground designs which will then be presented to the community at a future public meeting.

Visit the Fuller Park Mixer Playground project page for additional details, including the project timeline, and the surveys.
