Take a thrilling ride down our waterslide, swim laps in our spacious 50-meter pool, or ease into the water using our gentle ramp in the shallow area. Love diving? Our 12-foot diving well awaits your biggest splashes! Not in the mood for swimming? No problem! Grab a lounge chair in our open spaces and soak up the sun while you relax.

Important Reminders

  • We do not allow outside swim instruction or coaching.

  • Large groups of more than 10 people cannot be accommodated at Fuller Park Pool.

  • Large groups (camps, schools, organizations) should visit Veterans Memorial Pool Monday-Friday, 1:00-3:30 PM (except holidays).

  • Families and friend groups are always welcome!

Ann Arbor Masters Swim Team

Join the Ann Arbor Masters Swim Team!

The City of Ann Arbor Masters Swim Team is a welcoming, year-round program for adult swimmers of all skill levels. Whether you're looking to stay in shape, improve your technique, or train for competition, our program provides a supportive and structured environment—with no U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) membership required.

For over 30 years, our team has practiced at Mack Pool from September through May and at Fuller Park Pool during the summer. Our experienced coaches lead workouts, provide stroke feedback, and offer guidance to help you meet your swimming goals—whether that means building endurance, refining technique, or preparing for a competition.

With 9 practice times available each week, there's plenty of flexibility to fit swimming into your schedule. Come be a part of our swim community, enjoy great workouts, and take your swimming to the next level!

Octopods Swim Team

Join the Ann Arbor Octopods Swim Team!

The Ann Arbor Octopods Swim Team is a fun and competitive program for swimmers ages 5–17. With four sessions throughout the year, swimmers can continue to develop their skills and enjoy the sport year-round. Registration is required for each session.

During the fall, winter, and spring, practices are held at Mack Indoor Pool, and the team competes in the SMSL league. In the summer, training moves outdoors to Buhr and Vet’s pools, where the team competes in the WISC league.

To join the team, swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool using front crawl. Whether you're looking to build confidence, refine your strokes, or race in competitions, the Octopods provide a great opportunity to grow as a swimmer while being part of a team!

Pool Punch Pass

Your Gateway to Year-Round Swimming

Our Pool Punch Pass gives convenient access to all our public pools for individuals and families alike. Each person uses one punch per visit, making it a simple and flexible option whether you're swimming solo or bringing the whole family.

How It Works

Your punch pass is valid for all open swim and lap swim sessions throughout the year. Simply present your card at entry, and scan for each person attending. The pass remains active for a full year from purchase date and can be used at any of our public pool locations.

Important Details

Please note that punch passes cannot be used during master's swim times. These versatile passes are designed for regular swimming during standard hours. Once purchased, punch passes are not eligible for refund, so be sure to use all your punches within the one-year validity period.

Lap Swim Only

We have at least four lanes available in our 50-meter pool for lap swimming only. Fuller Pool is a popular spot, so we ask all swimmers to be mindful of our lap swimming guidelines to ensure a great experience for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation!

1. Please circle swim in all lap lanes. Even if you are the only swimmer in a lane we ask that you circle swim so that swimmers feel welcome to share any lane.

2. For swimmer safety, please share a lane with swimmers that appear to match your swim speed even if there is a lane with fewer swimmers.

3. For swimmers safety, please take care when passing swimmers in your lane. Awareness and care of those you are sharing a lane with can make your swimming experience safe and enjoyable.

4. Please feel free to kindly and civilly resolve any challenges you have with other swimmers. If for some reason you are unable to resolve challenges with another swimmer in a mindful way, please let staff know so that we can help resolve the issue.

Open Swimming

Enjoy our pool during Open Swimming! Whether you want to swim laps, relax in the shallow end, or dive into the deep end, this time is open for everyone. Daily admission rates apply, and punch passes are accepted.

We always have at least four lap lanes available in our 50-meter pool. Please note that Lane 7 is reserved for private lessons daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Come swim, splash, and have fun!

Fuller Park Day Camp – Outdoor Fun All Day Long!

At Fuller Park Day Camp, we spend the entire day outdoors, soaking up the sun and making unforgettable summer memories! Every day is packed with excitement, adventure, and plenty of time in the water.

Campers, ages 5 - 12, will splash in the pool, try log rolling, race down water slides, and even go on river rafting adventures. On land, they’ll have a blast jumping in the bounce house, playing classic camp games, enjoying sports, and creating cool crafts. Plus, every camper receives three days of basic swim instruction as part of camp!

Campers are grouped by age and stay with the same dedicated counselors all week, building friendships and confidence in a supportive environment. Weekly themes guide activities, crafts, and games, with plenty of time in the pool every day.

Adult Swim Lessons

Swimming Is For Everyone

It's never too late to learn how to swim or improve your skills in the water. Our adult swim programs are designed with your comfort and progress in mind.

Beginner Level

Our beginner classes are perfect for adults looking to build comfort and basic skills in the water. You'll learn essential techniques including floating, treading water, basic front crawl, and backstroke. These foundational skills help build water confidence in a supportive, adult-focused environment.

Each session includes seven 60-minute lessons. Fee: $110 for residents, $134 for non-residents

Intermediate Level

For adults with some swimming experience who want to refine their techniques and build endurance. Classes focus on improving your front crawl and backstroke while introducing additional strokes and skills. You'll work on breathing techniques, coordination, and efficiency in the water.

Each session includes seven 60-minute lessons. Fee: $110 for residents, $134 for non-residents

Youth Group Swim Lessons

Swimming for Every Age and Stage

We offer group swim lessons for children starting from as young as 6 months. Our classes are designed to help swimmers of all levels develop important water safety skills and swimming techniques in a fun, supportive environment.

Class Information

Each session includes seven 30-minute lessons where our experienced instructors work closely with your child. We keep our class sizes small to ensure each swimmer receives personal attention and guidance.

Lesson Fee: $60 for residents, $77 for non-residents

Please note that swimmers must meet the ability requirements for their level. If your child needs special placement, please contact us for instructor approval before registering.

GUPPIES

This program helps toddlers ages 1​ to 3 years old and their parent or adult to become comfortable in the water and to learn skills needed for continued comfort and enjoyment in the water.

GOLD FISH

​A class for 3 and 4 your old swimmers who are just starting off. Swimmers will be in the water with only the instructor and will work on getting comfortable in the pool and some important basic skills. (sessions with less than 2 students registered by June 16 will be cancelled)

MINNOWS

This class will work on building the basic skills in the water. Your 5 and 6 year old beginner swimmers will work towards more independence in the water. They will be challenged to float and move through the water on their own. ​ (sessions with less than 3 students registered by June 16 will be cancelled)

DOLPHINS

Fundamental aquatic skills for those who can fully submerge head, float independently, blow bubbles and feel comfortable in the water.(sessions with less than 3 students registered by June 16 will be cancelled)

MAKO SHARKS

Beginning stroke development for those who can push off the side, flutter kick on back/front with arm actions and float on their front and back comfortably. (sessions with less than 3 students registered by June 16 will be cancelled)

HAMMERHEAD SHARKS

Intermediate stroke development for those who can swim front and back crawl for 10 yards, demonstrate elementary backstroke and enter deep water comfortably.(sessions with less than 3 students registered by June 16 will be cancelled)

TIGER SHARKS

Full stroke development for those who can swim front crawl for 15 yards with rotary breathing, swim backstroke for 15 yards and tread water for at least 30 seconds.(sessions with less than 3 students registered by June 16 will be cancelled)

NEW: Aqua Infants Experience
These drop-in classes will offer an opportunity for your 6-12 month old swimmer to sing, swim and socialize. Each week, the instructor will lead the group in songs, games and activities that will help your little swimmer get comfortable in the water and learn a few skills. We will be offering 30 minute class every Sunday, June 22 to Aug 10, 9:15-9:45 a.m. Fees: $7.25 per drop-in class or five punches for $30.

Private Swim Lessons

Looking to build confidence in the water, improve technique, or learn to swim for the first time? Our private swim lessons offer one-on-one instruction tailored to each swimmer’s unique needs. Whether you're a beginner, refining your strokes, or need extra support, our experienced instructors will help you reach your goals.

These lessons are perfect for:

  • Adults who want to gain confidence and improve their technique
  • Swimmers with unique needs who benefit from a personalized approach

Each 30-minute session is customized to meet your abilities and comfort level, helping you become a safer, stronger swimmer.

Water Polo for Adults!

Adult-Only Water Polo Clinics

If you're new to water polo or feeling a little rusty, our Adult-Only Water Polo Clinics are the perfect way to get started. These four specialized sessions will focus on the fundamentals, including treading water, passing, defensive skills, and game strategy. You'll gain confidence and improve your skills before the full drop-in season begins. Space is limited, so be sure to register in advance!

Clinics take place on May 13, 15, 20, and 21, from 7:30–9:00 PM. Fee: $7.25 per clinic.

Drop-In Water Polo

Get ready for an exciting way to stay active and have fun in the pool with our Drop-In Water Polo for ages 18 and up! Whether you're an experienced player or brand new to the sport, everyone is welcome. Each session includes passing, shooting, and scrimmaging, making it a great way to build skills and enjoy friendly competition. Drop in and join the action!

Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 27 to Sept. 11, 7:30–9:00 PM. Fee: $7.25

City of Ann ​Arbor Public Pool Rules​​​

  • ​​All swimmers must take a shower before entering the pool.​
  • Everyone must wear a clean bathing suit with liner to enter the water.
  • No running or horseplay.
  • All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by someone age 16 or older.​
  • All children under the age of 12 must pass a deep end test in order to swim in the deep end.
  • Inflatables are not allowed in the pool (balls are permitted). All flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved.
  • Diving is permitted only in the deep end of the pool. No flips, spin jumps, or back dives are allowed.
  • No smoking.
  • Snorkels, masks, fins, kickboards, and pull buoys are for lap swimming only.
  • The City of Ann Arbor is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • The wading pool is for children ages 7 and under accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents and/or guardians must actively supervise their children.
  • No glass containers are permitted within the pool area.
  • The consumption of alcohol prior to or while visiting the pool is prohibited.
  • Persons with infections, a communicable disease, or open skin irritations are not allowed in the pool.
  • No spitting or otherwise polluting the pool.
  • No pets are allowed on the pool deck.
  • No animals are allowed in the pool.
  • ​All food waste must be disposed of in garbage cans.
