Postman's Rest Park

Overview

Postman's Rest ​is a small city park that remains neatly wooded at the corner of Vinewood Boulevard and Wayne Street just south of downtown Ann Arbor. View the Ann Arbor Parks and Nature Areas Map​ for location context. This park provides a small shaded green space for neighbors and visitors to stop and relax. It features a paved path through the park, a picnic table, a bench and a swinging bench.​

Park Notices

Unless otherwise posted per City Council resolution, when a park is closed, no person shall remain in or enter it other than to quietly sit or walk.​

Access and Parking

There is two hour street parking available on Vinewood Boulevard and Wayne Street. Refer to posted signage regarding parking rules and restrictions.​​

The park is accessible on foot and bicycle using the surrounding neighborhood streets. Vinewood. and Wayne. have sidewalks but no bike lanes. There are no bike racks at the park.

The park is a short walk from Crary ParkDouglas Park​, and George Washington Park​​ to the northwest along Washtenaw Avenue.

Public Transportation

The closest bus stop ​to Postman's Rest is on the corner of Wayne St. and Washtenaw Avenue, less than a 5 minute walk from the park. Visit TheRide for schedule and route details or check out the parks ride guide.

When reporting an issue in a park please include detailed location information in the "details and description" section near the end of the request process. Pictures that provide location context are very helpful.
