Winewood Thaler Park

Overview

Winewood Thaler Park is a 1.72-acre neighborhood park located between Winewood Avenue and Thaler Avenue, just east of Stadium Boulevard and north of Liberty St on the city's west side. View the Ann Arbor Parks and Nature Areas map​ for location context.​​ The park contains a basketball court, play structure, sand play area, swing set, picnic table, benches and small open field area. There are two separate playground areas: an area featuring a sand pit and swing set, in the northern section of the park off Winewood Avenue, and a playground featuring a play structure and merry-go-round near the center of the park. There is also a small nature area with a woodchip trail. The park features a small native wildflower garden and an edible landscaping garden. A paved path runs through the parking connecting between Winewood and Carolina Avenue, which receives winter snow clearing.

Park Notices

Unless otherwise posted per City Council resolution, when a park is closed, no person shall remain in or enter it other than to quietly sit or walk.​

Access and Parking

There is street parking along Winewood Avenue, which forms the northern edge of the park, and along Carolina Avenue​ and Garden Circle at the southern edge of the park.

The park is accessible on foot and bicycle using the surrounding streets. There are sidewalks along Winewood Avenue, Carolina Avenue, and Garden Circle.​ There are no bike racks at the park.

Public Transportation

There are bus stops nearby on Stadium Boulevard and Liberty Street. The nearest stop​ is only about a 5 minute walk. Visit The​​​Ride for closest stops and route details or check out the parks ride guide. ​​
