Environmental Lab

​​In total, the lab staff and operators perform over 175,000 analyses of our drinking water annually. Safe, quality water is our highest priority here at the Water Treatment Plant. Our Environmental Laboratory and Process Laboratory are certified by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) for testing in compliance with Safe Drinking Water Act Regulations. As certification requires, we successfully pass our annual performance evaluations and on-site inspections by EGLE, and all full-time lab personnel have earned a Bachelor of Science level degree or higher.
