Why is this project being done?
Dhu Varren
- Improve traffic flow at peak hours
- Extend the 16-inch water main west to the limits of the project
- Extend the Sanitary sewer west to the limits of the project
- Reconfigure intersection to a roundabout
- Extend pavement along Dhu Varren West of Pontiac Trail to the limits of the project
- Include storm water management features
- Inclusion of all ages and ability bike way through the intersection
- Extend sidewalk along the west side of Pontiac Trail from Montana Way to Dhu Varren
Moore
- Improve traffic flow at peak hours
- Replace the aging water main along Pontiac Trail Moore to north of the Railroad crossing
- Replace the aging water main on Longshore between Pontiac Trail to west of Wright Street
- Replace the aging water main on Wright Street between south of the Railroad Crossing to north of Longshore
- Reconfigure intersection to a roundabout
- Include storm water management features
- Inclusion of all ages and ability bike way through the intersection
Work to be done
Open cut excavation for watermain, sanitary and storm sewer installation, Directional drilling water main under railroad crossings, mass grading for reconfiguration to a roundabout intersection, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt pavement of the roadway.
