PAC Downtown Park Subcommittee

The Downtown Park Subcommittee of the Park Advisory Commission has the following goal:

"To determine whether and what additional parks are wanted and/or needed in downtown Ann Arbor, focusing on city-owned parcels in the DDA district while maintaining awareness of additional nearby properties, for example: Liberty Plaza, 721 N. Main and 415 W. Washington. The 'deliverable' will be a set of recommendations for the City Council."

Meetings are open to the public and a space for public commentary is included on each agenda. Email Parks & Recreation Manager Josh Landefeld at jlandefeld@a2gov.org or call 734.794.6230 ext. 42501 to receive additional information.

Proposals in response to the terminated RFP #743 - Development of the Library Lot

In March 2011, City Council voted to terminate the Library Lot RFP #743, which sought to develop a 1.2-acre lot owned by the City of Ann Arbor located at 319 S. Fifth Avenue with the downtown Development Authority. Proposals were submitted in response to the RFP and to varying extents considered open space. As such, the subcommittee is reviewing them from that perspective: Pre-Proposal Q&A, Proposals.
