​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Financial Feasibility ​Analysis & Development of City-Owned Properties as Affordable Housing ​

​​​The Mayor and City Council directed the AAHC and Administrator to conduct a financial feasibility analysis of underutilized City-owned properties to determine the suitability for affordable housing to households at 60% of the Area Median Inc​ome (AMI) or less. The analysis was presented at the November 18, 2019 City Council Meeting. The analysis was updated​ to include 415 W. Washington and 350 S. 5th Ave. An update was provided during a Council Work Session on June 14, 2021.

Community Engagement Process

The AAHC partnered with SmithGroup from 2019 to 2021 to conduct community-wide engagement relaterd to affordable housing at the 10 sites identified in the Feasibility Analysis as suitable for affordable housing:

A second Community Forum was held September 1st, 2022 at the Farmers Market (315 Detroit Street) and 121 E. Catherine.
