​The Purpose of the Parks Advisory Commission (PAC) is to recommend policies and advise on park development. PAC also provides a formal opportunity for public involvement regarding community park and recreation services, including park rules and regulations; park and recreation facility policies, fees, hours, and scheduling; annual operating budget; park land acquisitions; major new development projects; and capital improvement and acquisition funding. Non-land acquisition meetings are open to the public and public comment is welcome.

PAC Meetings

​PAC meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.  ​ Please refer to the City's Events Calendar for up-to-date meeting information including cancellations and notices of electronic meetings. Notices of electronic meetings are posted no later than 18 hours prior to the meeting start.​​

PAC Downtown P​​ark Subcommittee 

The Downtown Park Subcommittee of the Park Advisory Commission has the following goal:

"To determine whether and what additional parks are wanted and/or needed in downtown Ann Arbor, focusing on city-owned parcels in the DDA district while maintaining awareness of additional nearby properties, for example: Liberty Plaza, 721 N. Main and 415 W. Washington. The 'deliverable' will be a set of recommendations for the City Council."
