To improve the road surface for all.
Repair identified storm drains, concrete curb and upgrade concrete ramps to meet current American with Disability Act (ADA) Standards.
Utility work will be completed prior to the road being resurfaced on South Fifth Avenue between East Jefferson Street and Packard Street as part of the 2025 Miscellaneous Utilities Project.
The first contraflow bike lane in the city will be installed as part of the project which will connect different cycle facilities.
The road will be fully closed to users throughout the duration of the project.
Parking will be removed in one block of South Fifth Avenue, on the east side, from Packard to Madison to accommodate the installation of the contraflow bike lane.
