Location
Located on the second floor of the Ann Arbor Justice Center at 301 E. Huron St., the Ann Arbor Police Department is always open. The justice center is adjacent to, and can be accessed by walking through, the Larcom City Hall building.
Parking at the Justice Center
Please see the important parking reminders from the Ann Arbor Police Department. Meter parking is located on Ann Street, north of Huron Street, and in the parking lot off of Ann Street. There are also a few parking spots designated (with signage) for brief parking in the parking lot immediately to the east of the Ann Arbor Municipal Center. The driveway to this lot is accessible via Huron Street. These parking spots may only be used by those visiting the police department. Additional parking options are also available.
Access to the Justice Center
Because the 15th District Court is also located in the Ann Arbor Justice Center, all visitors are required to pass through security and metal detectors upon entering the building during court business hours (Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., excluding holidays). Visit the 15th District Court online for
more building-access information.
To access the AAPD after the court's business hours, including weekends, please use the call box in the Ann Arbor Justice Center vestibule, just within the first set of glass entry doors to the building. Police personnel will then remotely unlock the doors. Visitors then should take the elevators to the second floor.
Children's Reading Nook
In 2017, the children's reading nook was established in the police department lobby on the second floor of the Ann Arbor Justice Center. This friendly area helps kids feel welcome and at ease while visiting the AAPD.
