The mission of the Ann Arbor Retirement System is to protect and provide retirement benefits to members, retirees, and beneficiaries of the Retirement System.
The Retirement System will serve its members by the prudent administration of the plan and its benefits.
The Retirement System will provide accurate and timely information to its members in a courteous and professional manner.

Board Elections - General & Police Members
The Pension Board election is scheduled for December 11 & 12, 2024, for the purpose of filling one General Member's seat on the City's Pension Board. All General Members of the City's Retirement System, including civilian employees of the Police and Fire Departments, are eligible to vote. Sworn police and firefighters are not eligible to vote in this election.
General Representative Candidates:

All General Member employees who work at City Hall, the City Center Building, the Housing Commission, the fire stations, 15th District Court, Community Television Network, Community Standards, and other off-site locations may cast ballots at the City Clerk's Office, second floor of City Hall. The polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 12th. Voters may be asked to show their City I.D. Alternate polling locations are included in the memo.
